WHY ONLINE DESIGN PROJECT?

When you’re moving to a new home, office or just need to rearrange your space it’s best to get an expertise from a professional designer to bring together functionality and aesthetics to your interior. But it’s time consuming and can be expensive, so it’s not ideal for most people. Over the past few years the majority of the activities, such as calling a taxi, arranging a business meeting or shopping for food have been digitalised.

Fortunately, online interior design services also exist so you can work with a designer virtually at a much lower cost.

My online design service is made for all those who want a professional project with practical, fast and economical solutions. We will have a chance to meet on skype or zoom, communicate via WhatsApp, or you can choose other ways of communication suitable for you. I will help you with your project step by step until you are fully satisfied with the result.

I have been working in this manner for over 6 years. I am an experienced designer offering a high-quality service, and I’m here to help you!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Since every project is very different, I am not able to set up a list of flat rates. Feel free to message me with your design request for further evaluation.

I don’t charge for the initial consultation, as it will help me understand my clients’ wants and needs and provide an accurate quote for my design service.

If you’re not happy, I’m not happy. I work thoroughly to create a beautifully designed space tailored for your needs and taste.

HOW LONG DOES THE TYPICAL ONLINE INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT TAKE?

I am flexible with the working hours, so will consider both urgent and non-urgent projects. It takes about 1 week to complete one room, which includes design consultation, two initial design concepts, 3d  and interior layouts. Celebrity designers typically take between 1-2 months from start to finish due to their schedules. In any case a design process depends on the space size, its style and details, as well as your amendments during the process.

Need help with the next step, would like to select the right design package or book a design consultation? Let’s have a chat - I’d love to hear from you!

WHAT TO BEGIN WITH?

1. Show me Your Space

Take a few photos and measure your space.

2. Help Me Get to Know You

Interior design is personal, so I want to get to know you, your space, and your life style:  whether you have kids, pets, live with a partner or on your own. Your habits, hobbies and wishes are important and will help me create a beautiful and functional space. Be ready to answer some questions about your lifestyle. Let’s make Your Space More “You”.
3. Share your ideas with me.

I’m a person who can look at your Pinterest boards and translate your ideas into a perfectly decorated room in your home. Any moodboards, links or photos of interior design you like will help identify your requirements and speed up the process.

 4. Let’s talk about strategies and plans

A successful design project starts from understanding your clients’ needs. Would you like a complete interior design project? Or would you prefer a furniture placement? Or you may need a high-quality 3d-visualization based on the existing drafts? Have you just bought a new house and want to get some advice on purchasing the furniture, putting everything together to create a cohesive scheme, or creating something special for your family? Let’s think together how to realise your concept within your budget. Each client is unique. That's why I customise our strategies to adapt them to your needs. Whether it is a brief or more challenging intervention, I will listen to your requests to prepare a personalised action plan.

HOW IT WORKS?

After our first conversation I will start converting your ideas into reality.

Depending on your requirements and the budget we can either implement all of the following steps or choose and combine some of them.

1/Space planning.

In the interior design process space planning is the first thing to do. Every interior design project begins with an assessment of a room’s functional deficiencies, so then the elements can be manipulated to fit people who live or work there. The goal of space planning is to create efficiency, and I’m ready to help you with it.

I will provide you with several (normally 2-3) variations of the space planning of your apartment (or any other space) and you can pick one as per your preferences. Once the idea as been settled, you can go ahead and plan your design concept, choose furniture or think about a 3d rendering service to get the detailed concept of your space.

Space planning process can take 1-2 days for a room, studio or a small retail store, and 1 week for a large property.

Many homes don’t have floor plans. On some occasions the floor plans are old and hand drafted. Either way, I may use your existing floor plans, or create new plans by conducting a survey and measuring all spaces of your home. We then sketch a new plan using those dimensions, draft the sketches on the computer software and create a set of new digital floor plans.

2/Conceptual Development

At this stage I provide a list of design concept ideas that can be used as a starting point for our conceptual development and will steer us in the right direction. Normally I present it as a collage or a moodboard that demonstrates the ways this new concept can be used in the existing space.

Design concept stage could take from 1-2 days for a room, studio or a small retail store, and 5-7 days for a large property.

3/3d-visualization

3d renderings are dynamic, realistic ways to depict an inside layout of the building and its interior design. These can be useful at every stage of the process, from pitching an idea to marketing a real estate product.

3D rendering is a very time consuming process. That's why it takes longer to do quality 3D renderings than drafts or collages. 3d - visualization process of one space may take 3-5 days.

4/Construction Documentation

Once you approve the design, we begin working on a construction drawings set. These documents are essential for various contractors, which will follow our lead, including (but not limited to) carpenters, plumbers, tile-setters, electricians etc. Interior construction documentation sets will provide them with information they need to execute the design flawlessly.

Construction documentation includes:

  • Floor finishes

  • Interior elevations including kitchen cabinetry, bath cabinetry layout (doors and drawers), fireplace and mantle design, other major focal areas

  • Ceiling layouts

  • Interior lighting locations, switch placements, outlet locations and cable TV outlets

Depending on the size of the job, the design process may take some additional layouts or steps, like bringing in a structural engineer or an architect when we are dealing with load-bearing walls.
